Mike brings us the "Board Gaming from Blighty" segment.  He says this...

"Like a lot of gamers, I have been a fan of board games ever since I was a kid. We would be given gmaes for birthdays and Christmas, and would look forward with excitement to going to the huge toy shop to pick out a game. I grew up on classics like Risk, Angling (if you have never played it you should it's a blast!), The Business Game, Blast Off and countless others - I even remember the not so classic Kojak - The Board Game! I got out of board gaming for a while and concentrated on Role Playing for a fairly long time, but eventually, I re-discovered board games.

A couple of years ago now, we played a game of Settlers of Catan which I loved! This got me back into gaming - big style! In fact, at our last trip to Gencon UK, we spent most of the day board gaming! Now, I simply cannot get enough gaming in, I play at least once during the week with a regular group of guys, we have 2 monthly sessions, one with our wives, and a regular Sunday morning session, where my buddy Si beats me at Memoir '44. Luckily my wife is a keen gamer too, so I can usually swing another couple of games during a week with her.

Outside of gaming, I live in England (that's the small country on the other side of the pond, where everything is expensive!) I work in IT, and enjoy "just normal stuff", walking, reading and loitering on
BoardGameGeek. I have recently become addicted to podcasts, and have a huge list of 'casts to listen to each week! It's a pleasure to meet you all"
