Josh JenkinsJosh Jenkins (known as chaosjenkins on BoardGameGeek) discovered the gaming hobby in 1984, when, at the ripe old age of 10, his cousin introduced him to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. However, as they only had adventure modules, the youngsters more or less had to guess at the rules, and — lacking polyhedral dice — would draw paper numbers from a hat or fling pennies on a table and count the heads to determine whether attacks hit or missed.

In his adult life — after spending a handful of years losing hair as a high school English teacher and eventually landing as an online content guru for a newspaper company — Jenkins discovered board games when it became apparent that being a husband, father of two and borderline competent professional would leave little time for the epic campaigns of days gone by.
