Brad Keen

I was born in 1982 and live in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  I have Bachelors degrees in both Sociology and Economics from Shippensburg University and a Masters degree in Sociology from The Ohio State University.  I am currently employed by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and am considering a second MA in Business Administration.  Other than Board Games, my hobbies include hiking, backpacking, and reading just about anything.  I also enjoy watching Survivor.

My gaming background includes the standard fare of Monopoly and Life while growing up.  I began playing Magic: The Gathering in ’95 and attended my first Origins in ’99.  My introduction to Euro games 2006 at Origins.  At this time I was working on my MA and soon afterwards discovered the Columbus Area Board Gaming Society (CABS).  Three years later I continue to love gaming and the overall hobby.  My favorite games include Age of Steam, Brass, Hermagor, and Web of Power.  I enjoy heavier games but I definitely appreciate a lighter filler game if the time or mood is right.

I meet with my own gaming group every Wednesday night, but I also regularly attend Games Club of Maryland (GCOM) events and try to make it back to Columbus for a CABS event when I can.  If you are ever in Harrisburg and you want to meet-up for a game, let me know and I would be happy to arrange something (especially if that game is Age of Steam).
